Ramp Expands to United Kingdom Market - corporate finance
Over 70,000 organizations use Ramp’s platform globally.

Ramp introduced its corporate finance solution in the United Kingdom, representing the fintech’s inaugural expansion beyond North America. The full suite provides multiple functions such as corporate cards, expense management, bill payment, procurement, travel, treasury, and automated accounting processes.

According to the company, more than 70,000 organizations use its platform globally, with the median customer saving 5% on expenses and growing revenue by 16% during its first year.

Jacob Wallenberg, VP of International Expansion at Ramp, says the UK launch is supported by a growing London team and regulated payments capabilities secured through Ramp’s acquisition of Billhop, a Stockholm- and London-based payments platform. They have payments authorization in both the UK and European Union, allowing them to issue corporate cards in the UK through Stripe Payments UK, an electronic money institution authorized by the Financial Conduct Authority.

The deal gave Ramp the necessary authorization, and they are now able to provide their services to UK customers. The UK launch comes as finance teams face a new category of expenditure: AI token usage, with customer spending on AI growing roughly 21 times since June 2025.

Ramp’s token spend management tools are designed to give finance leaders a consolidated view of AI costs, breaking spending down by model and team, distinguishing cost of goods sold from operating expenditure, and flagging anomalies and potential savings opportunities. Jacob Wallenberg notes that companies are spending on AI without a clear understanding of their costs, and that Ramp’s token spend intelligence tools can help companies make more informed decisions.

The company has also launched Router, which matches AI requests with the lowest-cost model capable of completing the task, and Ramp Stack, an AI operating system for accountants and accounting firms. These tools are designed to help companies manage their AI spending more effectively.

Ramp began onboarding UK businesses during the summer beta phase, with early customers including AI voice agents company ElevenLabs and London-headquartered customer relationship management platform Attio. ElevenLabs uses Ramp for bill payments, corporate cards, and AI token spend management, with the company’s finance automation coding 99% of invoices and 99.8% of card transactions, saving a three-person finance team approximately 24 hours each month.

Attio uses Ramp’s corporate cards and expense controls to consolidate its finance operations, with Head of Finance Roberto Restrepo noting that Ramp has completely changed how he spends his time, allowing him to focus on driving the business forward. Ramp’s technology and commercial partners include Visa, Billhop, and Stripe Payments UK, with the company’s UK cards issued by Stripe Payments UK as an FCA-authorised electronic money institution.
